Historic Mountain City Playhouse is being revived! Ooshie Enterprises, LLC, a local;
Rabun County native-owned company purchased the iconic building and land and works in conjunction with Ooshie Life, LLC and Mountain Learning Enrichment, Inc, a local nonprofit; 501c3 to revive the once vibrant dance hall. The Mountain City Playhouse is also home to Blue Ridge Activity & Tumbling Center, which provides movement-based activities for the local community youth.


The Mountain City Playhouse has been a staple of Rabun County since the 1930s. Known for its swing dancing and concerts, the playhouse has a classic aesthetic that is perfect for any event. You can host your event at this historic venue! Submit your inquiry using the button below!

English Country Dancing for Teens & Young Adults
Step back in time and discover the beauty, joy, and fellowship of English country dancing with the Mountain Regency Dance Society at the historic Mountain City Playhouse!
Designed especially for teens and young adults ages 13–20, these welcoming open-house lessons offer an opportunity to learn traditional English country dances in a fun, social, and encouraging environment. No previous dance experience is necessary—just come ready to learn, move, and enjoy an evening with friends!
Admission: $10 per student

Parents, guardians, and younger siblings are welcome! A guardian must be present with minors. Parents and siblings under age 10 are admitted free.
